After several months of chasing around the final Child Abuse Registry clearances in a variety of names, we finally got everything back and our home study is complete. Now a few notaries and certification stamps and we’ll be sending it off to our wonderful government to get their approval. It’s been pretty frustrating with all of the delays, but if you’re beginning your adoption process to a Hague country please spend some quality time with your adoption agency and a LOT of detailed questions about what sort of paperwork you need. We followed the instructions from each state and it was not enough for our agency and USCIS. Learn from our frustration.
On the positive side, it should only be a few more days until we’re on to the next step of our journey.
